With great honor, I swore to:
Support, protect, and defend the Constitution and Government of the United States and the State of Florida.
Faithfully perform the duties of Supervisor for the Broward Soil and Water Conservation District.
Defend from waste the natural resources of the district, including its soils, minerals, forests, water, and wildlife.
Uphold Chapter 582 of the Florida Statutes and all prevailing laws of the State of Florida.
This solemn oath reflects my dedication to conserving and protecting the resources that sustain our community and future generations.
A Ceremony Rooted in History and Tradition
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by the Honorable Judge Kevin Tynin, with my cherished family members—Teresa, Julia, and Wiley—by my side. The significance of this moment was further underscored by the elements of tradition and legacy incorporated into the ceremony.
The Aitken Bible
My oath was taken on the Aitken Bible, a historic artifact of American resilience and faith. Published in 1782 by Robert Aitken, it was the first complete English-language Bible printed in the United States and the only one ever authorized by the U.S. Congress. This Bible symbolizes the enduring values of freedom and perseverance that have shaped our nation.
Personal Tributes you may notice in the photo.
Lapel Pin: The pin I wore was from the 2016 Republican National Convention, where I served as a Presidential delegate, representing my unwavering commitment to civic service.
Tie: My tie was a tribute to my father, I purchased this tie for my dad from Brooks Brothers—a brand that reflects timeless values and family legacy.
Ring: The ring on my right hand was a gift from my mother during my late teens, symbolizing her love and guidance.
Watch: The Calatrava by Patek Philippe was a nod to the company co-founded with Celeste Ellich, which played a pivotal role in both our electoral successes.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the ceremony. Your presence turned this moment into an unforgettable celebration of community, history, and purpose. Together, we embark on a journey to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of Broward County for future generations.
