Gratitude and Highlights from the Republican Club of Plantation Meeting

On March 6th, 2025, I had the privilege of speaking at the Republican Club of Plantation meeting, where we delved into several crucial topics that resonate deeply with our community and nation.

Reflecting on the State of Governance

A significant part of our discussion centered around the speech delivered by former President Trump to Congress. The speech shed light on the shift towards a centralized government that was unfolding prior to the last election. This form of governance, dictating the minutiae of our daily lives—from the cars we drive to the people we can befriend—represents a stark departure from the decentralized, local governance model that cherishes individual rights. This conversation sparked a crucial question among us: How many prefer a government that upholds the importance of individual autonomy and local decision-making?

Celebrating Fundraising and Community Initiatives

Our meeting also celebrated several successful fundraising events, including the Washington DC Veterans Parade Mar A Lago Event, the Jimmy Patronis event, and the Mark Green event, which have significantly contributed to our cause. The upcoming 917 Event, featuring Tucker Carlson as the main speaker, and the Make America Clean Again event with John Rourke at MAR on April 3rd, which is expected to attract 600 attendees, underscore our active engagement in shaping our community and political landscape.

Moreover, the MACA clean event with John Rourke showcased our commitment to environmental stewardship, having removed thousands of pounds of garbage and debris from a local canal and including a notable clean-up along the security fence at Piper High School.

Advances in Local Leadership and Upcoming Events

As on of the elected Supervisors of the Broward Soil and Water Conservation District, I am honored to contribute to our community's wellbeing and governance. Our discussion also touched upon the upcoming RLC Lobby Days on March 11th and 12th, which promise to be pivotal in advancing our legislative agenda.

Furthermore, we discussed the innovative use of "The Candidate's Playbook," authored by Bob Sutton and Celeste Ellich. This book is not only a resource for understanding political strategies but also a fundraising tool for Republican clubs. Our recent visit to the White House with Tom Lauder of RED Broward was another highlight, illustrating our active participation in national political discourse.
