It is with great enthusiasm and confidence that I endorse Celeste Ellich for the position of Supervisor of the Broward County Soil and Water District. Celeste's extensive background in leadership roles, community service, and her unwavering commitment to the people of Broward County make her an exemplary candidate for this important role.
Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Celeste grew up in a large German Catholic family, instilling in her the values of hard work, community, and service from a young age. As the oldest of seven children, she naturally assumed leadership roles, a trait that has only strengthened over the years.
Celeste's political and service-oriented career began with her involvement in the Ronald Reagan presidential campaign in 1980. Her passion for service led her to enlist in the U.S. Navy, where she excelled as the Master At Arms during her training and contributed significantly during the Grenada Invasion as an Intelligence Specialist.
In her civilian life, Celeste has shown the same dedication and zeal. As a Florida licensed Real Estate Broker since 1984, Celeste has demonstrated her capability in managing complex issues and leading teams with integrity and foresight. Her leadership extended into various roles including past president of the Broward Women’s Republican Club Federated and the Wilton Manors Business Association.
Celeste has also been an active member of the community, serving on several boards and committees such as the Planning and Zoning Board and the Budget Review Committee of Wilton Manors. Her volunteer work with veteran organizations underscores her commitment to those who have served our country, ensuring they receive the support and recognition they deserve.
Her appointment by President Donald J. Trump as a local board member of the US Selective Service System is a testament to her abilities and trustworthiness in handling roles of significant responsibility.
Celeste Ellich’s vast experience, coupled with her dedication to public service and community involvement, makes her the ideal candidate for the Broward County Soil and Water District. She understands the unique challenges and opportunities within our community and is prepared to utilize her skills to enhance our environmental and community resources.
I urge all stakeholders and community members to support Celeste Ellich in her candidacy for Supervisor. Her leadership, experience, and dedication are exactly what Broward County needs.
